52 Years The ‘Perfect Time’ To Have Plastic Surgery
Whilst turning 40 may once have been less of a concern to many women, latest research has revealed that middle aged women are becoming more and more determined to achieve facial rejuvenation in order to look younger as much as they are lavishing it on online beauty products like designer perfume.
The study, which was conducted by Superdrug, revealed one in three women over 40 are now sufficiently worried about their appearance that they were considering plastic surgery, with the age they thought most appropriate to be 52 years and 41 weeks.
Similar statistics revealed in the same survey revealed that a fifth of women between 40 and 60 would happily get a face lift in order to look younger if money wasn’t an issue, as well as 29% of those surveyed stating that they would choose facial rejuvenation above becoming a millionaire.
When interviewed about the survey, Dr Darren McKeown noted that it showed the increase in concern that women are having regarding their looks, noting that ‘botox are dermal fillers are the most popular treatments at the moment’ and that ‘the popularity of certain treatments is very celebrity driven.’
As well as cosmetic surgery, the survey also revealed that women between 40 & 60 spent an average of £137.28 a year on anti-aging creams, and that the focus on cosmetic surgery had almost doubled in the last generation, with focus on facial rejuvenation increasing every year.
