Non Surgical Face Lift

By far the most popular cosmetic treatments are those related to reducing the signs of age such as crows feet. Non-surgical face lift is a general terms used to describe treatments that are used to reduce lines, wrinkles, folds and sagging skin. The treatments fall into two main areas, skin peels and dermal fillers. Skin peels can be further broken down into chemical peels, microdermabrasion treatment, and laser skin treatment. Dermal fillers are broken down into collagen injections, Bottox (or Dysport), or those using hyaluronic acid such as Hydrafill, Restalyne, Perlane, Juvederm, Captique, Ravanesse and others. There are also Radiesse and Thermage which are slightly different from the rest.

Microdermabrasion Treatment

Written by Administrator. Posted in Non Surgical Face Lift

microdermabrasionMicrodermabrasion treatment, or skin planing, is a treatment where a dermatologist freezes the skin and then mechanically sands the skin to remove older top layers of skin which are then replaced by the underlying newer skin. This new skin generally has a smoother appearance.

When microdermabrasion treatment was first developed, it was used mostly to reduce acne scarring, chicken pox marks and scars resulting from accidents or disease. Today, it is also used to treat other skin conditions, such as pigmentation, wrinkles, and skin lesions. Average cost of a dermabrasion treatment is around $1,800 USD.

Microdermabrasion treatment uses the same process as dermabrasion. While dermabrasion is a highly effective treatment for moderate to significant skin issues, microdermabrasion is much gentler, removing only a tiny layer of skin so is better suited to milder cases. The benefit of microdermabrasion is a reduction in recovery time along with lower cost in most cases.
