Written by Administrator. Posted in Pimple Treatment

It's bad enough figuring out how to get rid of spots when you're a teenager, but it can be even harder as an adult. In fact adult acne affects 25% of men and 50% of women at some point in their adult lives! That surprisingly high statistic means there is quite a demand for adult acne pimple treatment but the good news is adult acne or pimples is essentially the same form of acne as in teenagers and therefore the same acne treatments stand true.

More often than not adult acne is caused by a hormonal shift, or imbalance, in you and that is why women can suffer from it more than men, especially during the phases of pregnancy. If this is the case then your acne treatment should begin with a trip to the skin doctor, or acne dermatologist.

There are lots of adult acne pimple products out there but to be honest, the best are designed to be marketed to teenagers and contain benzoyl peroxide to help get rid of spots.

If your adult acne is more serious then you may want to consider cosmetic acne treatments such as laser acne treatment, chemical peels, microdermabrasion or soft tissue augmentation to get rid of spots.

In a lot of cases, however, a simple, carefully-planned hygiene regime can do wonders over time to cure adult acne pimple treatment..

Adult Acne Hygiene Guide:

This adult acne hygiene regime should be repeated twice a day, first thing in the morning and then later at night to get rid of spots...

  1. Purchase a mild face cleanser, some 2.5% benzoyl peroxide and some good, perfume free moisturiser.
  2. Wash your face using the mild cleanser carefully to avoid irritation.
  3. Dry your face and grab the 2.5% benzoyl peroxide. This works by oxygenating the skin while also drying it, which helps prevent your skin from clogging, causing adult acne. Apply this liberally over the adult acne affected areas and allow it to soak in.
  4. Finally, when the cream has worked its magic and your skin feels tight and dry grab your moisturiser and apply just a little to keep your skin from flaking and to ensure your skin looks plump and healthy.
  5. Repeat twice a day.
