And plastic surgeons are reporting a surge in demand, with celebrities also joining the queue.

Just as surprisingly the majority of those applying for butt augmentation are caucasian as more and more white women look for a bit more posterior volume!

The butt augmentation procedure doesn't actually involve the insertion of an implant, as most other augmentations do, but rather the surgeon will take fat from elsewhere on your body but using very low pressure. This means the fat cells stay in tact and they are then purified and concentrated before being injected into the muscles of your butt.

Patients are often told to gain weight first in order to create enough fat for the surgery to work and this is usually taken from the upper legs, hips and 'love handles'.
